There are many possible reasons why you want to work out, and it’s important to keep your purpose in mind when designing your workout program. Athletes often train to get stronger, more agile, or faster to help them in their chosen sport. Body builders are training for physique competitions. Most of my clients are looking to a) improve and/or maintain stability and balance, b) lose weight, c) functional fitness for everyday life. Some are looking for a combination of all of the above and sometimes, some are looking to just basically feel better about themselves.
You wouldn’t get on the highway without knowing where you want to go, right? So you want to have the same mindset when approaching your workouts. So, why do you want to work out? Take a minute to ask yourself this question and write down two or three reasons. This is your destination! Identifying why you want to work out is your job, helping you get there is mine. If you’re unsure of how to achieve your goals, please get in touch. I can help you get where you want to be.
